Furniture Craftsman, Chris Clark
I worked with my friend
Brian about fifteen years
ago.  We did some
decent projects together.
I was really honored
when he asked me to
make these rather
special table legs.
If we were still
working together I
probably would have
wanted him to make
them.

Tedious.
Nice cabinet, huh?
Stained cherry with some nice detail like frame and panel doors, solid wood
back finished on both sides, some thru-tenons, pocket doors.  Set up for a
computer with the keyboard pull-out.
I built two of these some
years ago.  The second
one was set up to house a
television, vcr, and such.

They outlived their
usefulness.
So they were both
disassembled and
made into pieces the
owner wanted.  One is
now a desk that holds
the computer without
being inside a cabinet.
The other holds the
television on top now
instead of inside and
has a place for the
DVD player.
So every now and then someone will bring me a project that is worth
sinking your teeth into.  This table was that project for a number of days.
All solid cherry with dovetailed drawers  and legs that were turned but
also required some hand-carving.  Don't always like to carve, but
occasionally in the interest of doing a good job, it can be fun.  Thank you,
Stacey for bringing this project to me.
