I have built about fifty of
these little rockers,
including some alternate
designs that were kid
tested in my wife's daycare.

The ultimate decision was
that the mission style with
the high back was the
safest design and the one
the kids like best because
you can lean your head
back and throw one leg
over an arm and be quite
comfortable.

Below you will see pictures
of the very first of these
rockers being put through
the paces by my 9 month
old daughter, (who turns
sixteen years in a few
months).   I like the picture
where she is standing in the
seat, using the back for an
exercise machine.... without
falling over.

The walnut rocker with all
the burled lumber in the
seat and arms got a blue
ribbon at the Iowa State
Fair in 1995.
